Timeshare resorts shine at SA Tourism’s Lilizela Awards

South Africa is well-known for its world-class timeshare resorts which attract international holidaymakers and local timeshare owners and holiday club members. These quality holidays and the valuable contribution that timeshare resorts make to the country’s tourism value-chain were recognised at the 2019 Lilizela Tourism Awards, South Africa’s premier travel and tourism awards.

Mjejane Bush Camp, located along the southern end of the Kruger National Park, scooped the National title for Best 5-Star Self-Catering Shared Vacation Resort.  Adding to the list of accolades for the timeshare industry, Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve won the 4-Star Nature Lodge category as well as the Scenic Beauty category for its untouched Karoo-like wilderness and dramatic rock formations located in the Cederberg Mountains.

Situated in stand-out beach and berg destinations, Cabana Beach Resort in KZN, Club Mykonos in the Western Cape and Midlands Saddle and Trout Resort in the KZN Midlands were winners in their respective Provincial Self-Catering Shared Vacation Award categories and named 2019 National Finalists.

VOASA congratulates its members on being recipients of the prestigious Lilizela awards and thanks SA Tourism for recognizing and honouring tourism players who deliver world-class services and products.

Winning these awards is a statement that the South African shared vacation industry has stood the test of time and is a true testament of utmost devotion towards sustaining the highest standards of quality and affordable holidays for all South Africans, as well as being an attractive timeshare destination that drives international tourism.
